AGGREGATE/MINING/CONSTRUCTION ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER
The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to: Completing permit applications and securing and maintaining permits related to air, water and mining permits specific to the aggregate and asphalt industries. Containment hydrology, waste management, environmental due diligence, risk assessment and air emission calculations. Conduct environmental reporting as it relates to air, water, and mining permits. Performing site audits and reporting of the operation with respect to air, water, waste management and mining to ensure compliance with permits and regulations governing the facility. Training employees with respect to sample collection and preservation techniques to ensure sample integrity. Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of environmental engineering experience required. 3+ years of hands-on experience of sampling, water containment and waste management. 3+ years of experience with air, water and mining permitting and reporting, strongly preferred. Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences or related discipline, required. Aggregate, Mining or Construction industry experience, strongly preferred. Professional engineering license, preferred. Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proven record of being a self-starter and able to work under limited supervision.
