ROADWAY DESIGNER - SR Our client is a Canadian engineer consulting firm serving clients in both the public and private sectors, focusing on the oil and gas, mining and transportation industries. The Role: The Company seeks a Roadway Designer " Sr. with a passion for the design, construction and operations of roadway and highway infrastructure to join their laid-back team in Greater Vancouver. This position offers the opportunity to lead the Design Team of technologists and engineers, supported by the environmental and geotechnical specialists, to deliver planning, preliminary and detailed design and other related engineering studies and assessments to public sector, resource and mining clients in Western and Northern Canada. The types of transportation projects can include logging and resource roads, highway realignments, new highways and highway grade widening. You will contribute to business development, strategic planning, mentorship and the technical development of staff in the group. The Candidate: Applicants for this role must have the following: - Minimum of ten years experience in roadway engineering - A combination of practical hands-on design and project management expertise, and related office and field experience - Experience in management or leading design teams - Working knowledge of design software including Civil 3D or CAiCE - An understanding of design standards and guidelines including TAC and AASHTO - Experience with the design and construction of roads through diverse and challenging environments, e.g. mountainous terrain, permafrost - A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised university with supplemental courses in roadway geometric design - Eligible for registration with APEGBC - Valid BC drivers license - The ability to travel to project sites across Western and Northern Canada To Apply: Individuals meeting the criteria above are encouraged to submit their resume, with cover letter to VIVIAN DUBROVIC by emailing the address above or call 604 638 4917.
