Avoca Resources Limited (Avoca) invites you to submit an expression of interest to join our mining team currently developing the new Trident underground gold mine at Higginsville in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia.

Following the discovery of Trident in October 2004, Avoca has been developing the Trident mine and constructing a new 1mtpa CIL Treatment Plant which is currently being commissioned. We believe this exciting new operation will develop into Australia?s premier new generation gold mine.

The mine represents a rare opportunity to implement many of the improvements and innovative changes mining engineers would like to make and seldom have the chance in older, more established operations.

The Avoca team has extensive experience and expertise in underground mining, exploration, project management and financial management. We all share a minimum 10 year vision for the Higginsville gold field. which will form the basis of developing Avoca into a quality mid-tier Australian resources company.

Your skill set.
As the Senior Mining Engineer or Underground Manager, you would have gained between your 5 and 10 years underground experience as a Mining Engineer. You should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and have the confidence and ability to effectively contribute to the leadership team.

You will hold a Western Australian First Class Mine Managers Certificate (or have the ability to obtain one), be involved in the development and implementation of both short and long term production planning and targets, and involvement in the development of project evaluation, management and cost monitoring. You will also have the opportunity to apply new and/or innovative mining technology and ideas to suit this new mine.
