$140,000 to $150,000 + bonus (20% to 25%) + vehicle + comprehensive company paid benefits + full relocation.

Currently seeking an individual for the AGGREGATE OPERATIONS/PRODUCTION MANAGER position with responsibility for 5/6 quarries producing 7MM TPY. The position is based in Laurel, MD. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising focus on safety excellence. Position is open due to retirement.

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the management and coordination of aggregate production activities. Will carry out production objectives at lowest cost consistent with quality requirements while providing excellent customer satisfaction. Will also be responsible for production methods/control, maintenance, site planning and related processes. This position will assist in annual production planning/budgeting, forecasting and request for capital appropriation.

Essential Functions:
a. Create a zero injury safety culture without compromise.
b. Exceed customer satisfaction and quality expectations including product availability and delivery
c. Has a proven history of developing direct reports for future job opportunities
d. Successful track record of finding, training and retaining a diverse workforce
e. Has a proven history of leading and project managing large capital projects within budget and on time
f. Must have a full understanding of all aspects of P&L/financial management.
g. Proven experience in Greenfield development including site selection, zoning, permitting, plant selection and community advocacy
h. Able to demonstrate strong working knowledge of all phases of quarry operations from clearing /stripping to load out of finished product
i. Plan operating schedules for maximum efficiency and maximum use of manpower and equipment.
j. Must have a strong focus on continuous improvement utilizing key performances metrics.
k. Assist leadership team with preparation of reports on production, manpower, budgets and inventory planning for use in corporate business process.
l. Establish and implement long term and short term goals for quality, safety, production, inventory, mine planning and environmental for each location
m. Monitor plant managers maintenance of equipment and/or plants to ensure maximum production capabilities.
n. Assist Plant Managers with researching new ways to cut costs and improve production.
o. Experience in working with corporate staff and regulatory agencies

Relationships and Contacts:
Internal: Sales, quality control, managers of eachquaary, accounting personnel, and corporate support functions.
External: Vendors, governmental agencies, customers and community leaders

Education, Experience, and Knowledge:
A bachelors degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering or similar is preferred but not required.
A minimum of 8 years experience managing multiple aggregate sites.
Working knowledge of AggQC and AggFlow is a plus
Knowledge of profit and loss statements and an understanding of accounting principles
Excellent skills with Microsoft Office and the ability to rapidly learn different software applications.
Excellent skills pertaining to mine planning.
Strong communication and leadership skills are necessary.
Proven safety record and excellent compliance with MSHA safety standards.
Ability to develop strong leadership at all levels in the quarry.
Working knowledge of environmental policies, standards, and best practices.
Ability to successfully manage multiple capital projects at any given time.
Proven track record of community relations and involvement.
