Responsible for business development and sales activities for construction aggregate mining operations. Maintains strong relationships with existing customers and operating partners; develops new customer relationships in both the public and private sectors. MIDWEST US LOCATION. Provides solutions to customers and alleviates concerns •in the field• utilizing investigation and problem solving skills
Provides product quotes to customers as required
Identifies new markets and targets specific accounts and prospects to meet or exceed sales objectives
Has a comprehensive knowledge of the companys products, services, and policies
Reports directly to the Director of Sales and Logistics
Leverages marketplace feedback to communicate and support new product development and services with technical experts and management team
Analyzes market based on key drivers and recommends direction to manager accordingly
Builds and analyzes value chains and triangulates competitive market information to make pricing recommendations to management
Develop working relationships with key federal, state, county, district and city engineers, purchasers, QC/QA and lab personnel, field inspectors, project managers and specifiers as a technical resource in regards to aggregate products and their applications and uses
Professionally represent the company at industry, trade association, customer, legislative and technical meetings and various social and business functions

Bachelors degree preferred
A minimum of 5 years sales related experience preferably within the construction materials industry
Experience building relationships and bidding projects for DOT and other public and private organizations
Able to demonstrate past success at managing the sales process and achieving sales goals
Strong computer skills including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Must possess excellent communications skills both verbal and in writing; ability to exchange information with others clearly and concisely; ability to convey ideas, facts and technical information to both layman and experienced professionals.
