$85,000 to $95,000 + 15% Management Incentive + Company Vehicle + full relocation + comprehensive company paid benefits.
Currently seeking an individual for two Plant Manager positions in company's Amarillo, TX sand and gravel operations (one is a new position and one is a replacement). Positions will report directly to the Area Production Manager. The potential candidate for these roles must be enthusiastic, have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
Manage an operation with approximately twelve (16+/-) employees and one or two (1-2) direct reports. Candidate must possess a strong safety culture and be able to meet these minimum responsibilities and requirements.
Efficiently supervise production and sales of approximately 500,000+ TPY operation
Ensure the pit and mine activities are achieved to plan specifications.
Control costs to meet budgets and reduce costs to achieve savings.
Identify deficiencies and implement a plan for continuous improvement
Effectively manage staff by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback and providing development through training and accountability.
Ensure compliance with all Company and Governmental policies and regulations.
Direct mine and pit planning.
Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
Actively reaching out and being involved in the local community.
Active and consistent communication with area sales staff.
Ensure processes for quality product production and collaborate with area QC department.
Requirements
A bachelors degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering or similar is preferred but not required.
A minimum of 5 years experience in operations as well as significant experience in aggregate processing procedures and sand and gravel operations.
Working knowledge of AggQC and AggFlow is a plus.
Knowledge of profit and loss statements and an understanding of basic accounting principles.
Excellent skills with Microsoft Office and the ability to rapidly learn different software applications.
Possess strong basic math knowledge.
Basic surveying and mapping skills a plus.
Strong communication and leadership skills are necessary.
Proven safety record and excellent compliance in MSHA safety standards.
Ability to develop strong leadership at the lead person and foreman levels.
Working knowledge of environmental policies, standards, and best practices.
